Following their engagement, Matthew Godfrey and Stephanie Morris were looking to make the next big leap in their lives together with a shared home ahead of their wedding in May next year. The happy couple found a solution at Craibstone Estate in Aberdeen with help from Cala Homes.
Using the leading homebuilder’s part exchange service the pair discovered their ideal family home, a three-bedroom Banton property at the development, which is located in an idyllic leafy location, within close proximity to key commuter links to Aberdeen city centre.
Stephanie said: “Out of all the housing developments appearing in Aberdeen, Craibstone was the one that stood out to us as it perfectly captured exactly what we were looking for.
“Despite being located so close to Aberdeen city centre, there’s a lovely rural feel to Craibstone and we were both immediately enamoured by the trees and green spaces in the area and how the houses are spaced in a way that doesn’t feel crowded. There’s a village community feeling to the development that makes you feel like you’re outside of the city.”
Stephanie and Matthew used Cala’s Part Exchange Service to make the moving process easier, with Stephanie commenting: “We were a little daunted at the prospect of selling our old home and the time that might take, and were really worried we wouldn’t be able to secure the plot we wanted at Craibstone.
“However, despite those worries, the part exchange process simplified the whole ordeal. The whole process was very quick and easy.
“From our visit to the sales office to receiving our move in date, the whole thing took only a week which was incredible and all thanks to the sales team, who were all very informative and helpful throughout the process. Knowing all updates throughout every step of the process gave us confidence and made what can be a stressful time, completely hassle free.”
The couple’s new property, Cala’s Banton housetype, features a contemporary open plan kitchen and dining room area which is perfect for entertaining guests and features plenty of storage cupboard space. This flexible design continues upstairs with ample storage and wardrobe space, and an en suite bathroom within the master bedroom.
About the layout of their new home, Stephanie added: “The first thing that immediately caught our eye is the size of each room and the space the home provides, especially in the hallway and the kitchen area – which is my personal favourite room in the house.
“We also love the contemporary look and feel of the home. The interior is filled with natural light through the home’s large windows and the anthracite grey finishing really complements it, giving this wonderful outside aesthetic to each room.”
Current prices at Craibstone are from £129,950 to £554,950 for its selection of apartments and three, four and five bedroom houses. The development is located on Craibstone Estate Road, Aberdeen, AB21 9SJ. Sales reception and show homes are open daily from 11am-5:30pm.
