The award recognises a site manager’s commitment to delivering fantastic results and working closely with their teams to create homes of the highest calibre for our customers across Scotland.
The three site and project managers and supporting teams selected for the Seal of Excellence are Rob Swanson from the Cala North team for his work at Milltimber Manor in Aberdeen, as well as Cala East’s Kenny Reid and Mark Foley, for their work at Ravelrig Heights in Balerno and The Crescent at Donaldson’s respectively.
Across the Cala group, a record 18 site managers were recognised in the competition’s first stage - the ‘Pride in the Job Quality Awards’ back in June. The award-winning site managers then proceeded to the next stage of the competition which is where the trio received their Seal of Excellence Award, ranking among only thirteen site managers in Scotland to receive the accolade.
This is the first time that Rob has been awarded the title for this Cala development. He previously worked for 30 years as a joiner before joining the team at Cala Homes, originally as an Assistant Manager. Since then, he has climbed through the ranks to become Project Manager at Milltimber Manor at Oldford Village.
As well as achieving the Seal of Excellence Award, Mark Foley and his team at East’s flagship development The Crescent received the highly coveted Regional Award in the Multi-Storey Builder category for the second year running. Mark is Cala’s most decorated project manager having received 14 ‘Pride in the Job’ awards in his career to date, alongside ten Seal of Excellence Awards and three regional awards.
Last year, Mark also received the Supreme Award in the Multi-Storey Builder category, widely considered one of the highest accolades a project manager can receive.
Also winning a Seal of Excellence for the East team was Kenny Reid and his team for their work at Ravelrig Heights at Balerno near Edinburgh.
David McGrath, Regional Chairman for Scotland, said; “It’s wonderful to see Rob, Mark and Kenny recognised for the outstanding job they and their teams do here at Cala. Their commitment to quality, teamwork and first-class service shine through on the projects they oversee, and these awards are testament to that. We are very proud of their achievements.”
We wish all three of our site managers the best of luck in the final stages of the UK Supreme Awards, which are set to be held early next year.
