Cala Homes (North) and Meldrum House Estate have been granted permission to create a collection of homes within the grounds of the hotel and golf club.

Aberdeenshire Council has given the go ahead for the development of 36 new homes, adding to the previously approved redevelopment of the Kennels and Home Farm complex within the site and supporting the previously approved enabling development scheme, creating 40 new properties overall.

Ross Maclennan, Land Director at Cala Homes, said: “We are very pleased to be able to bring this remarkable development to fruition. It will comprise a mix of four- and five-bedroom detached homes, carefully positioned and designed to complement the unique locale.

“We have worked very closely with Meldrum House Estate and the Council over many months to ensure that this collection of homes reflects the prestigious location and is sympathetic to its natural surroundings.

“We look forward to revealing more details about the development in the coming months.”

Work on the new homes is expected to commence later this year.
