Cala Homes (West) are delighted to have completed the purchase of a site at Balgraystone Road in Barrhead which has received planning approval for residential development.
The site is allocated for residential development in the East Renfrewshire Local Development Plan 2 and is located on Balgraystone Road, between Springfield Road and Aurs Road, and adjacent to Balgray Reservoir on the southern side of Barrhead.
Our Development Plan for Aurs Meadows
Our approved planning application outlines the development of 346 new homes, which will include a mix of terraced, semi-detached and detached properties, ranging from two to five bedroom homes.
Our proposed development plans for Aurs Meadows also include the provision of a neighbourhood retail facility, as well as generous greenspace and attractive landscaping with a village green and children's play areas.
Aurs Meadows will also benefit from convenient access to the newly proposed Balgray train station, which when complete, will serve as a new stop between Patterton and Neilston, providing improved public transport links between Barrhead, the Dams to Darnley Country Park, and Glasgow.

Groundworks for the new homes have now started with the first properties to be released for sale in Spring 2025.
