We understand that when you provide your personal data to Cala because you are entering a competition that we are running, you will want to know about what we will do with that personal data and how you can contact us about in the future. With this in mind we have prepared the following Privacy Notice to explain this further.

Purposes of the processing and legal basis for processing
We will process your personal data in order to administer the competition which we are running, to arrange for a winner to be chosen, and for the winner to be advised and contacted in connection with the competition. Where the competition is run on a social media platform the winner’s details (only such as are appropriate in relation to the forum) will be announced on that platform at the conclusion of the competition. It is in our legitimate interests to process your personal data to allow us to administer the competition which you have entered, to ensure that the competition is run fairly and that any questions about the procedure which has been followed can be fully answered.
-Who your data will be shared with
Your data will be shared internally and otherwise as required by law. In order to fulfil the obligations of the competition we may share your data with Cala approved consultants and professional advisors.
Period for which personal data will be stored
We will keep personal data in connection with competitions which we have run for a period of 2 months from the date when the winner of the competition is announced.

We will keep your personal data until the planning application upon which you have commented, and/or planning appeal, has been fully determined and your personal data will then be securely deleted.

We understand that when you attend at one of our showhomes, and you see signs confirming that we use a footfall counter, you will want to know about what that means in relation to your personal data, what we will do with that personal data and how you can contact us about in the future. With this in mind we have prepared the following Privacy Notice to explain this further.
Whilst our footfall counter does obtain information from your wifi enabled device, that information is immediately “hashed” and rendered anonymous to ensure that we do not collect and store your personal data. The footfall counting system provides us only with statistical information and not personally identifiable information. We provide this privacy notice in order to be open and transparent about our use of these devices and to further explain how they work in relation to your personal data. Cala’s business or Cala events. This may be for direct marketing purposes, promotions, recruitment, reporting and internal communications. We may process your personal data with your consent, which may be provided on a consent form or by other means. Where practical your permission will be sought before photographs are taken. Sometimes it is not practical to seek permission, for example during special events and other busy times. On these occasions photographs may still be taken and used as indicated in this Privacy Notice. Please contact us as below if you wish to discuss this. In certain situations we process your personal data to pursue our legitimate interests in a way that you may reasonably expect us to as part of running our business, provided it does not impact unduly on your rights, freedom or interests. For example: we take photographs of those who attend Cala events in order to pursue our legitimate interests of constructing and selling Cala homes.
