Cala Homes has announced the appointment of Brendan Evans as Managing Director for its South Home Counties business, as the homebuilder continues to support disciplined growth and long-term delivery across Kent, Surrey, Sussex and the South London boroughs.
Brendan joins Cala from Vistry, where he has been Regional Managing Director for its Kent region since 2020. Prior to this, he was Regional Finance Director at Bovis Homes, having earlier held several senior finance roles at Wates Construction.
Brendan brings more than 25 years’ extensive experience in leading regional business performance, delivering operational and financial plans, and supporting disciplined execution. He has a strong focus on maintaining high standards of quality, customer service and health and safety delivery.

Brendan brings deep knowledge of the Southeast market and is well positioned to lead the South Home Counties business as it grows its development pipeline. The team has recently secured three new sites in Mid Sussex and Horsham, which collectively add over 400 homes to the region’s existing pipeline.
Brendan Evans, Managing Director of Cala Homes (South Home Counties), said: "It’s great to be joining Cala South Home Counties at such an important point for the business. The region has strong foundations in place and a clear opportunity to build on its established presence across the Southeast, building high-quality homes in sought-after locations where people aspire to live. We currently have 12 live developments delivering over 3,000 homes, including three new launches at Enton Meadows in Godalming, Maiden View in Woodchurch and The Bluebells in Uckfield.

“Our dedicated land and planning team is actively seeking both immediate and strategic land opportunities, with or without planning permission, as we help meet the growing demand for high-quality new homes in the Southeast as we continue to identify new opportunities for sustainable growth.
“I’m looking forward to working with the team, strengthening relationships across the region and identifying new opportunities to support our long-term growth ambitions."

Tom Nicholson, Chief Executive at Cala, said: "Brendan is a strong appointment for Cala, and I’m delighted to welcome him to the business. He brings valuable homebuilding leadership experience and a clear understanding of how to support the region’s continued growth while further strengthening operational performance and long-term, sustainable delivery.
“His background across homebuilding and construction, combined with his track record of leading regional business performance and supporting land acquisition, makes him well placed to lead South Home Counties into its next phase. I have every confidence Brendan will build on the region’s existing strengths, support our teams and continue delivering high-quality homes and communities across the region."
