To reflect our commitment to our communities over the lifecycle of our developments, we have introduced our Community Pledge. Our Pledges bring together a host of bespoke measures for each local community including activities, donations, initiatives, volunteering drives and much more.
The Community Pledge goes above and beyond planning obligations, in fact it's an evolution of work we’ve been doing for many years within the communities in which we build, ensuring that we support the local areas and people who live there.

Land To Life is a curriculum-based schools project aimed at 7-11 year olds. The comprehensive suite of teachers’ notes and detailed lesson plans aims to educate children on how new communities are created, from land acquisition through to sales and marketing.
Stay Safe, Stay Away offers primary schools an interactive session covering the history of building houses, the variety of fantastic and varied career opportunities within the industry, as well as educating pupils about the dangers of going into construction areas unsupervised.
Cala are working with the growers on various projects throughout the village and have commited to assisting them on projects in 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027.
Working with Winchburgh Developments Limited (WDL) Cala and WDL are funding a 'Community Chest' within Winchburgh. This project allows groups and organisations to apply for funding. Keep an eye on the WDL website for further information and how to apply.
Cala’s interior design team have selected 10 local businesses to inspire our latest showhomes. From artists to photographers, framers to florists, our Showhome of Support initiative allow us to support local, and showcase wonderful local businesses to visitors and homeowners alike.
Cala have been involved through WDL with Winchburgh High Schools partnership programme. Groups of pupils have visited our developments in Winchburgh to walk the site and learn more about Cala and our individual roles.
